Anthem Blue Cross Of California Medicare Supplement
More On This Topic: Bulkquip Submitted by: Dennis Jarvis Anthem Blue Cross of California has a been a dominant fixture in the California health insurance market for decades now and their participation in the California Medigap market is no exception. One of the key concerns when shopping for Medicare supplement plans is a carrier’s strength and stability in the market since the purchase can echo decades into the future. Anthem Blue Cross definitely looks good in this light since they are one of the original providers of Medigap plans and can be considered as a leader in the market. Let’s dig a little deeper into their participation, pricing, and plan design in the California market. In most states, Blue Cross and Blue Shield are the same company. California, as always, is very unique in that the two are separate companies for the individual, family, small group, and Senior medigap markets.…
Minnesota oil pipeline explosion and fire kills two
Friday, November 30, 2007 A major oil pipeline in Minnesota exploded and caught fire, killing two workers. The pipeline carries oil from Saskatchewan, Canada to close to Chicago, United States, representing 16% of America’s total oil imports. The section of the pipe that exploded was undergoing maintenance at the time to address a pinhole leak first identified three weeks earlier, and patched at the time with a metal sleeve. On Wednesday, the entire section was removed and replaced with a new one. When oil was reintroduced on Thursday morning, oil leaked where the new section joined the pre-existing pipe, triggering the fatal explosion. The fire was extinguished later the same day. The line is split between four separate pipes. After the explosion, all four pipes were shut down, resulting in the global price surge, but this subsided for the most part after it became clear that the three undamaged pipelines…

Objective Tinnitus A Quick Review
More On This Topic: Forearm X Ray Anatomy Tinnitus is generally classified into either objective tinnitus or subjective tinnitus. The latter is more common. It is described as the tinnitus that cannot be heard by others, which means that only the sufferer can listen to the noise and sounds produced by tinnitus. Unlike the subjective type, objective tinnitus is very rare and is described as the type of tinnitus that other people can hear through the use of special device such as stethoscope that the doctor uses to diagnose the condition. FEMA accused of misusing trained disaster workers as public-relations workers
Monday, September 12, 2005 The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is being criticized for misallocation of personnel in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. FEMA representatives said they requested volunteers from fire departments around the U.S., to handle its community relations campaign. However, a document FEMA sent to local fire departments asked for firefighters with very specific skills and who were capable of working in “austere conditions”. Fire departments around the nation responded by sending crews to the FEMA staging ground in Atlanta. Some of these crews were unaware that they were only going to be used for public relations work. Others, however, merely hoped that FEMA would allocate them to rescue and damage control operations once it saw their qualifications. The firefighter’s objections are particularly poignant as one of FEMA public relations training seminars coincided with New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin plea for firefighters on national television, to relieve his…
